9:45am - Develop Talent by Building a Learning Culture - Sherry Metz

Companies need employees who are ready to take on new leadership roles and handle complex challenges. However, training employees is often viewed as a necessary expense rather than used as a strategic advantage. Many growing companies have limited talent development resources to invest in training, yet the challenge is greater than limited time and money. Research consistently demonstrates that participants forget 85% of what they learn within a week of a training experience.

In this highly interactive workshop, we will examine how to develop talent by building a learning culture that supports the financial bottom line. We will explore how to think beyond training events to improve on-the-job performance and enhance professional development, by employing strategies such as manager-led mentoring and coaching, social collaborative learning and action learning projects.

    10:45am - Break

11:00am - Panel - Rhonda Purdy, Kara Turner, Raquel Hansen, Rowena Birnel

HR experts will delve into the ever-changing landscape of Human Resources. The panelists will share their experiences and insights on various topics such as emerging growth areas in the industry, fostering collaboration and innovation, DEI, and where they see the future of HR.
